  • School me on lawnmowers

I've borrowed my neighbor's mower several times this season and it is starting to get embarrassing. Time to get my own.

Yard is less than a 1/4 acre -- probably an 1/8th is mowable -- so I need a simple push mower. Not a reel mower because fuck hippies.

I prefer a cordless electric so I don't have to get gas. I'm lazy and my property is small.

    Ryobi? Black and Decker? Suggestions?

They offer regular and self propelled mowers, and other equipment that uses common battery system. Regardless, higher voltage battery will be smaller, higher amp-hour batter will provide more run-time with increased weight. Just a general tip.

Honda. Going electric with all outdoor equipment - and I assume you'll have more than just a mower - would bug the shit out of me keeping up with all the batteries.

Not going gas, though, and I'm used to charging batteries. I have an entire shelf on which I have nothing but battery chargers. Real talk.

Honestly, maintaining 5 small engines is kind of lame...

So I just went thru this. I went Toro over Honda. The two dealers I spoke with preferred the Toros over the Hondas. Also spoke with one of the mechanics and he said Toros are much easier to work on than the Hondas. I'm sure you can't go wrong with a Honda but you may want to check our Toros if you're going to go gas.

I have a motor head with attachments for string strimmer, edger, blower, and pole saw.

I've been looking at these and at this time my next mower is going to be:

The best part is it folds up and gets the fuck out of you way for the 14 days between using it for 15 minutes..

14 days? I wish. I have to mow every 3 - 5 days. Rain, bro. It happens here.
